Computer Skills

One aspect of 21st century technology that astounds and fascinates me is the ability to learn anytime, anywhere about googols of topics.  As an employee or student of the Excelsior Springs School District, several paid resources are available as well.

One such source is the Learning Express Library (http://www.learningexpresshub.com/).  Paid for by our subscription to MOREnet, the Learning Express Library contains instructional resources on a wide variety of topics of interest to students and to adults interested in gaining new skills.

Check out the Computer Skills Center (http://www.learningexpresshub.com/computer-skills-center) to learn the basics of a computer and how to use popular software titles.  Of interest to ESSD40 staff are the tutorials for Microsoft Office Suite titles (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and Windows 7 & 8 operating systems.

The site does require registration which must first be done on a district computer.  But once you're registered, you can access the site from anywhere.

And check out other resources available from MOREnet while you're clicking around at http://search.more.net/.
