A Friday Farewell

Today harbors conflicting emotions for those of us in the tech department.  Friday in and of itself is always a good thing. The release of Superman Man of Steel movie is a much anticipated event for this blog author.    And for ESSD40 staff, it's PAYDAY!!!  But mixed with all this pleasure, a little sorrow comes our way today.

Brian Long, District Network Administrator, is finishing his time today with the ESSD40 Technology Department.  Brian has accepted a position with K12ITC .  Starting Monday, Brian will be posted at the Cameron School District as K12ITC's representative and main technology technician.

Brian came on board with the district in February 2009 as a technology technician.  Over the course of his career with the district Brian served as the Building Technician for the Career Center, Lewis Elementary, and Central Office.  Several computer labs over the past two years are the result of Brian's design and implementation.  For the past year Brian server as the District Network Administrator and also managed the wireless network and voice over IP telephone system.  His experience and knowledge in other areas outside of technology support have benefited the district in many ways.

All of us in the technology department wish Brian the best as he moves on.

Thank-you Brian for all you've done.
